Valen was recently engaged with a large West coast multi-lines carrier who needed to lower the cost of their premium audit function while maintaining or improving premium recoveries.  Using our ValenNetworks^® database of historical risk data as well as our XData^® warehouse of econometric, demographic, and firmographic data, we successfully built models that enabled the carrier to select the most appropriate premium audit method based on the expected recovery after accounting for audit cost. The end result was an increase in premium recoveries that totaled in the tens of millions and an overall reduction in the total cost of premium audits.
